About Me
I have lived in
Mountain View since 1997 and raised my two children here. I feel
very lucky to have learned so much and met wonderful people since
pivoting to professional home organizing.
For many years I was a historian, author, and speaker, specializing in food
history. After earning degrees from Harvard and the University of Chicago, I published many articles and two books—one on the history of food in Vietnam and one on the history of food in San Francisco. I also served as the director of the Culinary Historians of Northern
California from 2004 to 2020. I am always happy to talk about culinary history, what to expect in academia, or what it takes to write and publish a book. And I am happy to learn about your interests and passions as well!
Most of all, I want to help out in a hands-on way, organizing homes so my clients feel peaceful and productive.
